Do log homes contribute to deforestation?

I’ve always been fascinated at the beauty of log homes and dream of owning or building one in the near future, however, I will reconsider if owning such home would contribute to deforestation.

Does anyone know whether or not this will cause deforestation?
Thanks!

No more than frame homes do. Managed properly, the forest is a renewable resource. The only loss is the area occupied by your house and yard.
