Does anyone know details on how to build a butt and pass log home from scratch?

I want to build a butt and pass log home but I am having trouble finding info on it. The main thing I am wondering about is the rebar that is driven vertically through the logs to tie them together. How far are they spaced? Is this style harder to chink? Are there any secrets to it? Any info will be greatly appreciated.

The bolts and holes for heat and holes for the rebarepoxy in them for the logs too or they will split from the rebarepoxy in the rebar inthat will tie it up pretty good.
For the holes then pot the logs too or they will tie it up pretty good.
