Does it make any difference to log out from a website on a home computer?

I log into financial websites from my own home computer (which no one else has access to) and I wonder if it makes any difference if I log out when I’m done (they tend to log out automatically after a few minutes of inactivity anyway). I know it “can’t hurt” but does it actually make any difference to go and click the little “Log Out” button(s) each time I’m done?

The only way it might make a difference is if you were to walk away from your computer will still connected to your bank, and someone else walked up to the computer, open your bank site, and transferred all your money to another site. Also should you get infected with a virus or spyware while the account is still open, it could steal your information and money. To be safe you should always disconnect once you are done with your banking.
