How come I can log onto a particular website at home but not at my school on my laptop?

      The internet thats likely the cause.

      your school uses a filter to block certain content.

      u are using their servers the I T dept prob has that site blocked

      Mostly likely because most schools and a lot of jobs employ restrictions on where you can surf. There also could be firewall issues as well.

      If you are able to access a site but it look different to the site from home then the servers are prob redirecting you to an intranet rather than the internet.

      They might have a proxy in school
