How come I can’t log onto wordpress home page?

Every time I try to call up wordpress com’s home page, the connection times out and it says the site is busy. This has been true all day. I am having no problem pulling up any other page, but I can’t log onto wordpress com. Am I doing something wrong? Is anyone else having this problem. Thanks for your help.

      It could be their server, it might experience some sort of technical difficulties, under ddos attack or something…
