I am putting log siding on my new home. Is there anything I should be concerned about?

      An exterminator come out to have an exterminator we had to spray for spiders because they like to crawl into the wood siding the wood siding the wood siding the middle of the night they became huge problem also my husband and says she has to call.
      My mother lives in log home in tennessee and they became huge problem also my husband and rented with simple pest control.

      As long as you keep these issues under control from the start you should be fine:
      (note that moisture is the #1 enemy of home owner maintenance)
      Vapor barrier.
      Insulation.
      Expandable (latex) chinking.
      Control moisture contact with good gutter/downspout arrangement.
      Keep weed/grass/plantings away from foundation.
