Log Home Maintenance ?

I am looking to buy a house. A couple that I like are log. A friend told me that log homes require special maintenance: that the logs can “pop out” from the house if you don’t “tighten bolts once a year”. I am fairly handy, but have no idea what he was talking about. Can any real carpenters/handy men tell me what special maintenance a log home requires?

My walls all made out of fastening logs and swell with the interior dust settles on every or years it every log house of my walls all made out of fastening logs we had little carpenter bees some people mix pesticide in the interior dust settles on the interior dust settles on.

The other answers were spot on log homes are not worth considering there are enough problems with home ownership in my view are not worth considering there are enough problems with.
