What are the pros and cons of a cedar or pine log home?

Anyone know of Cedar Knoll Log Homes in NY state ? How good is pine and cedar log homes ? What should I be aware of when buying one ? The costs for a weather tight package is $69,000 for Cedar and $60,000 for a Pine log home with loft, is this too cheap? Should I be weary, and where should I get more info regarding these homes, since seller will only tell you positive things for a sale.
